Description
SKF Needle Roller Bearings
SKF needle roller bearings are bearings with cylindrical rollers that are small in diameter relative to their length. The modified roller/raceway profile prevents stress peaks to extend bearing service life.
SKF supplies needle roller bearings in many different designs, series and in a wide range of sizes, which makes them appropriate for a wide variety of operating conditions and applications.
Product types
Needle roller and cage assemblies
Self-contained, ready-to-mount bearings with a high load carrying capacity and a high stiffness – creating a compact bearing arrangement where the assembly shaft and housing bore can serve as raceways.
Drawn cup needle roller bearings
With a deep drawn, thin-walled outer ring, these bearings are typically used where the housing bore cannot be used as a raceway for a needle roller and cage assembly, but a very compact, economical bearing arrangement is still required.
Needle roller bearings with machined rings
Compact solution with a high load carrying capacity and high stiffness, made of carbon chromium bearing steel, supplied with or without flanges on the outer ring and with or without an inner ring.
Alignment needle roller bearings
Self-aligning up to 3° of static misalignment, comprising an outer ring with a sphered (convex) outside surface and two polymer seating rings, each with a sphered (concave) inside surface.
Combined needle roller bearings
The combination of a radial needle roller bearing with a thrust bearing means these bearings can accommodate combined radial and axial loads, offering a very compact solution and a high load carrying capacity.
Universal joint bearings
Manufactured with cold forged or machined cup needle roller bearings, incorporating a closed end, these bearings are used in various types of application, including for joints in commercial vehicle propeller shafts.
Needle roller bearing components
Supplied as separate components, needle roller bearing inner rings can be combined with needle roller and cage assemblies or drawn cup needle roller bearings, and needle rollers can be used to design full complement bearings.
Other needle roller bearings
Needle roller thrust bearings
Fitted with a form-stable cage to reliably retain and guide a large number of needle rollers, they can accommodate heavy axial loads and peak loads and can extend bearing service life.
Support rollers
Yoke-type track rollers based on needle or cylindrical roller bearings, with or without flange rings. Ready-to-mount, designed to run on all types of tracks.
Cam followers
Stud-type track rollers based on needle or cylindrical roller bearings, designed to run on all types of tracks. Easy to mount, and available in several designs and variants.
